What audio formats does LocalTranscribe support? +
LocalTranscribe supports all major audio and video formats including MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, MOV, AVI, and more. If you have an unusual format, our software will attempt to process it automatically.
How accurate is LocalTranscribe compared to human transcription? +
LocalTranscribe achieves 85-92% accuracy with our built-in editing tools to improve quality further. Combined with our quality review workflow, you can achieve professional-grade results much faster than traditional transcription services.

How does volume pricing work? +
Our pricing automatically decreases per user as your team grows: $79/user (1-9 users), $69/user (10-24 users), $59/user (25+ users). Enterprise customers (50+ users) get custom pricing with additional discounts.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan anytime? +
Yes, you can change your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, downgrades take effect at your next billing cycle. We handle proration automatically.
Is there a long-term contract required? +
No, all plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. You can cancel anytime. Enterprise customers may choose annual contracts for additional discounts.

What are the system requirements for LocalTranscribe? +
LocalTranscribe runs on Windows 10/11, macOS 10.14+, and Linux. Minimum requirements: 8GB RAM, 2GB free disk space, and a modern multi-core processor. More RAM and faster processors improve transcription speed.
Why is local processing better than cloud transcription? +
Local processing means your audio never leaves your computer, protecting attorney-client privilege and sensitive information. It's also faster (no upload time), works offline, and gives you complete control over your data.
What should I do if transcription seems inaccurate? +
Use our built-in editing tools and quality review workflow to improve accuracy. Ensure good audio quality (clear speakers, minimal background noise) and use our review indicators to identify sections that may need attention.
